Review Lethal Rider by Larissa Ione

Title: Lethal Rider (Lords of Deliverance #3)
Author: Larissa Ione

Genre: Paranormal Romance
Length: Novel
They're here. They ride.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Born of a match between good and evil, four siblings stand between hell's minions and everything they want to destroy. They are the Lords of Deliverance, and they have the power to ward off Doomsday...or let it ride...

Thanatos  the most deadly Horseman of the Apocalypse, has endured thousands of years of celibacy to prevent the end of days. But just one night with the wickedly sexy Aegis Guardian, Regan Cooper, shatters centuries of resolve. Yet their passion comes with a price. And Thanatos must face a truth more terrifying than an apocalypse-he's about to become a father.

Demon-slayer Regan Cooper never imagined herself the maternal type, but with the fate of the world hanging in the balance she had no choice but to seduce Thanatos and bear his child. Now, as the final battle draws closer and his rage at being betrayed is overshadowed by an undeniable passion for the mother of his child, Thanatos has a life-shattering realization: To save the world, he must sacrifice the only thing he's ever wanted-a family.
Betrayal is the name of the game in Lethal Rider.
Eight months have passed since Regan, an Aegis Guardian, was sent on a mission to seduce The Horsemen Death (aka Thanatos).  According to a prophecy the only way to stop Pestilence would be to create a child with Thanatos.  Low and behold the prophecy turns out to be a fake, but the baby Regan is carrying if very real.  For fear of what Thanatos will do he's locked away in Underworld General for eight months.  When Regan is threatened Than feels a pull to her.  Escaping his medical prison he tracks down Regan just in time to save her from an evil vamp, only to find her almost 9 months pregnant with his child! *A little fact that no one was planning on telling him*

They quickly realize Thanatos' future is dependent on the baby's survival. If the child falls, Than will fall with him, breaking the seal and ushering in the Demonica apocalypse. A wild ride ensues of longtime friends betraying trusts, and old enemies providing aid.

Overall I liked Lethal Rider.  The action and story were great.  I was a little bothered at how quickly Thanatos forgave Regan, especially in the wake of so many betrayals.  She already proved she wasn't trust worthy when she essentially raped him to get pregnant, but he got over it pretty quick. *shurg* Oh, well. The great plot overshadowed any little quirks that bothered me.  The climax had me on the edge of my seat.  And I got a few visit from my favorite characters from the Demonica books :)

I fell in love with Larissa Ione's Demonica series and I felt the same spark with Lethal Rider.  If you're looking for some great PNR reads to keep you busy through the summer look no further than the Demonica and, it's spinoff, Lords of Deliverance series.  Always quick with the action, adventure, and romance they are sure wins.
