Calling BDSM Authors this is the last round so if you want to get into the fun you better hurry.

BDSM Authors vs. Bitten by Paranormal Romance Reviewers

November 1st – 30th 2012

Last call, so if you want in please be quick. I'll leave this open until October 15, 2012.

The whole month of November, Bitten by Paranormal Romance will be playing the submissive role, while the BDSM authors will be in the dominate role.  Oh yeah, you can't miss this one. You have to stick around to see which reviewer uses the safe word first.

I walked in Wal-Mart the other day and saw they had Fifty Shades of Gray on the shelves, and I got pissed because BDSM has been around for years. But now, this author is going to make a killing off what others have been struggling to do in this so-called taboo market. The cashier at Wal-Mart told me about little old ladies asking for this book, but I guarantee that the little old ladies would scold someone for reading BDSM last year.  The thing that kills me the most is one day I was in Wal-Mart, and the book lady was taking away the Lora Leigh erotic books. She told me,"Wal-Mart said because of the sexual content they couldn't sell these types of  books." But yet here they are selling an BDSM book? What the heck? Well, that got me thinking, and I came home and submitted my idea to my reviewers, and I couldn’t believe the response. They are totally up to this.

New flash! BDSM has been around for years; this is not a new craze. My reviewers and I have read and reviewed some great books here over the last few years, and I think it's high time they get the publicity they need, even if it's by a little blog like mine.

So, listen up all of you BDSM authors. I have a review form below for you to fill out, but be quick about filling it out. We only have a few months to do this, and not only that, but I am also emailing all of my BDSM authors so make sure you get in there quick. Once you submit your review, one of us will contact you for the book, and that reviewer will be telling you a time during November your review will be put on the blog. Now, not all books will be accepted. Those not accepted will receive an email telling you your book was not accepted.

If you would like to be a BDSM guest author during the challenge, please email me and add BDSM guest author in the subject.

This is open to all BDSM sub-genres, so even if yours is not paranormal, you're welcome to submit your book.

Since we are playing the submissive role, we will each have our own safe word. The safe word will be used if we can't finish the book. We will publish the review using the safe word and telling why we had to use the safe word. So, I say to all of you BDSM authors: Bring it and see how far you can push our limits.

*Please don’t submit any consensual/nonconsensual rape, underage, Sadist or Dark-side BDSM and nothing that leaves permanent scars. Oh yeah, even I have limits. LOL.

Also if you want to follow a BDSM blog, you need to join my friends over at The Forbidden Bookshelf  These two are vacationing at this time, but they will be back up and running, so for now you can see all of their posts and find some good reads.

If you need to email me your review request make sure you add BDSM challenge in the subject.

Hard core BDSM authors please don't let the question scare you, we just want the to get the right book to the right reviewer an I have a few that will read the more hard core stuff

By the way there are 8 of us reviewers that will be taking the challenge.

To the blog readers if you have a favorite BDSM author please by all means let them know about this challenge.

Thanks
Laurie

  1. I'm looking forward to this Laurie. It irritates me that people are all out reading FSoG & think its some brand new thing. I've been reading BDSM/Erotica for years. I really wish people who read Fifty would read some of my favorite erotica authors books & see what really wonderful authors are out there! This is a great way to get the word out there!!! :)

Btw, How DARE Wal-Mart take away Lora Leigh! Grrrr! That ticks me off!

  2. While walking through my local Walmart I have noticed several more books that follow the likes of FSOG that were on the shelves, unwrapped and low. The Sleeping Beauty trilogy being one of them. Someone in marketing at Walmart doesn't do their research. You would think that if they allow these they'd allow some of our other PRA authors without question.

  3. Carridwen- I see that too other day.

Selena- It ticked me off too at the time but that was a year ago. I think if they sale erotica in any form they should sale them all.
