What are you reading this Autumn?

I was looking at my TBR list (not reading any of them, just looking, because I'm really good at managing my time wisely. HA!)
I quickly realized how far behind I was, BUT my mind started to wander again and I ended up making this list of Fall releases that I'm excited for.

I'm sure that there are tons missing from the list, so feel free to comment and tell me what I've overlooked or what books you are looking forward to!
*Fall runs from Sept 22- Dec 20 this year*

Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter
Expected release : September 25

*Yep it's a YA, and I haven't read YA in years but it's written by Gena Showalter AND it has zombies! What more could I possibly want?

The Witch's Dream (The Order of the Black Swan #2) by Victoria Danann
Expected release : October 14

*Follow up to one of my favorite books of the year, My Familiar Stranger. (You can read my review for it here)

Iced: A Dani O'Malley Novel (Fever World, #1) by Karen Marie Moning
Expected release : October 30

*First spin-off book to the highly popular Fever Series. KMM is a huge reason for my love of all things Fae, so this is a MUST for my Fall list :)

Warrior Reborn (Warrior, #2) by Melissa Mayhue
Expected release : October 30

*No one does time-travel romance like Melissa Mayhue. Warrior Reborn features a former special ops agent thrust into medieval Scotland by some sneaky Fae. I can't wait to read about how he handles it!

Shadow (New Species, #9) by Laurann Dohner
Expected release : October 30

*If you thought you were going to make it through a list of mine without a Sci/Fi romance you must be crazy! Laurann Dohner's Species series has had its fair share of highs a lows, but I still recommend it for anyone that loves steamier romance with some of the biggest Alphas around! This will be the first in the series to have a female-Species as the love interest. Two emotionally shattered people trying to make life right? Sounds good to me! (My review for Wrath, book 7)

Shadow's Claim (The Dacians, #1) by Kresley Cole
Expected release : November 27

*Kresley Cole's books are magic and after meeting these guys in Lothaire (review here) I can't wait to find out more!

The Accidental Genie (Accidentally Friends, #7) by Dakota Cassidy
Expected release : December 4

*The Accidental series runs in my 'PNR with tons of humor' list. Always filled with sweet and hilarious characters I'm sure Dakota Cassidy will have another winner with The Accidental Genie

Alien vs. Alien (Katherine 'Kitty' Kat, #6) by Gini Koch
Expected release : December 4

*One of the few Urban Fantasy series that I read (though, there is a strong romantic relationship) I just can't get enough of these sexy Armani wearing aliens, and Kitty's laugh-out-loud defense techniques. When she thwarted an alien with hair-spray in book one, I just knew I found a winner!

Rapture (Fallen Angels, #4) by J.R. Ward
Release date : September 25

Reflected in You (Crossfire, #2) by Sylvia Day
Expected release date : October 2 (ebook) October  23 (paperback)

Dark Nights (Dark Series) by Christine Feehan
Expected release date : October 30

Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (Charley Davidson, #4) by Darynda Jones
Expected release date : October 30

So, what else am I missing? Let me know!

  1. I love Kresley Cole, omg her books are so good.
I had heard that Gena Showalter was going to release a YA book and since I'm not all that into YA books I'm not sure I'll be getting it, but I do love her other books.

You want to know what book I have been looking forward to reading now for months? Dark Nights by Christine Feehan. I pre-ordered this book months ago. Back before it even had a cover. lol I absolutely love this series and anxiously await new books coming out so I can quickly grab them. It says I can expect this one to finally arrive Nov.5th...I can hardly wait. Have you read Christine Feehan's Dark series?

  2. Great choices! I have a few more Non-PNR books that I'm excited about for Fall release. But you named my top 2 PNR choices! I'm very excited about Shadows Claim & especially ICED. I'm going to the ICED Book Launch Party in New Orleans for Halloween with The Moning Maniacs :) Very excited!!! Also, the next book in JR Wards Fallen Angels series releases today :) I'm a big fan of that series! I just bought Rapture.

  3. @Mary - Laurie has a review scheduled for Dark Nights on Oct 1 :) I read the first 3 books in the series, I can't remember why I stopped. Probably got behind on my review reads. LOL. I remember she does alpha's pretty good. I'll have to pick the series up again. And as for the YA I'll probably read it in the next few months. I'll let you know if it's better than the normal YA fare.

@Selena - I am so frickin jealous that you're going to the Iced launch party! Although, I would probably act like a raging fan-girl, screaming and such, so it's probably good that I won't be there to embarrass myself. lol
Believe it or not I haven't read the Fallen Angels series. I've devoured every BDB book. I'm sure I'll pick them up soon, though :)

I'll have to add these two to the post!

    1. Trust me...I'm totally gonna act like a fangirl and embarrass myself, lol! I'm ok with that :)

  4. Can NOT wait for Iced! Reflected in You releases next week (I got an early review copy, but will still buy the print) And Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet by Darynda Jones releases the end of October, can't wait for that one either. So many good reads coming soon! Book Savvy Babe

  5. @CaroleDee If you've only read three of the books in Feehan's Dark series you've missed a lot. lol There are a lot of books out now and some even got re-issued. I love that you added that book to the post.

  6. Caroledee- That Feehand book is not #7 its is two Previously stories together from book#7 and book #11. http://www.christinefeehan.com/dark_nights/index.php

I stopped at book 5 in this series and after reading this one I will have to pick it back up again.

  7. @Laurie -Whoops. Now I don't know what the heck to sub-title it. So, it is officially just part of the Dark Series. LOL.

@Mary- I love your guys' suggestions. I'd say 80% of the books I read are suggested to me, so I'm hoping more ppl reply so I have more great stories to look forward to :)

  8. @Book Babe - Amazon is perpetually trying to get me to buy that Charley Davidson series. Another 4 books to add to my list!

*I really hope my family gives me gift cards for Christmas. I am going to be so broke by the time I get done buying all these goodies :)
