He was left behind when Elora Laiken made her choice. Now he’s had it with love, but a transplanted witch who happens to be the world’s best tracker hopes she can change his mind.

The Witch’s Dream begins with B Team on temporary assignment to Black Swan headquarters in Edinburgh where they are supposed to fill in for stretched-thin resources and assist with a werewolf issue. They’ve been given permission to stop in Ireland for a few days and help Ram and Elora celebrate their hand-fasting at the palace in Derry.

When they reach Edinburgh, the afterglow of an elf-tale wedding quickly turns all business. A missing person report turns into a demon abduction. A simple werewolf sanction becomes a diplomatic issue requiring the one thing Elora is no longer willing to give - finesse.

From New York to Ireland to Edinburgh to Siena to the Texas Hill Country to Napa Valley. From promises to rages to hunts to epiphanies, emotions intersect to prove that true love can find you when you’re least expecting it – even when you’re far, far from home.

Wow, Danann does it again. The lady knows how to weave quite the story. Filled with magick, love, and jealousy The Witch's Dream is a sweet and sexy good time :)

Picking up shortly after My Familiar stranger we get to dive right back into the world of the B Team. Ram and Elora are still going strong. We get an introduction to Kay's fiance and hilarious sisters. And thankfully Storm gets a love interest introduced.  Poor guy had his heart broken when Elora chose Ram above him, so watching him struggle through loneliness and rejection was hard at the beginning.  With the introduction of the enchanting witch Lithia he gets his well deserved chance at happiness.

I'd have to say that my favorite parts of The Witch's Dream revolved around Lithia's rituals with her magick. With Danann's background with Wicca/mysticism it was awesome to read. It left me wondering how much was based on factual Wiccan rites. As someone that enjoys reading about different religions I foresee a Wiccan fact finding mission in my future :)

If you adored My Familiar Stranger then you'll fall in love all over again with The Witch's Dream.

  2. Just finished the first book, "My Familiar Stranger" and all I can say is WOW!! This experience (no better word to describe) takes you where other paranormal books have tried, yet dismally failed. The characters come alive through Ms. Danann's imagery and mastery of story telling. If you love a strong female (more like kick-ass and take numbers later) lead, and the men that love and respect her, then this book is for you! Elora's journey through dimension, hardship, danger, and yes even humor, make it a book that is difficult to put down and leaves this reader frantically searching for an ebook format to continue the saga! Way to go Ms. Danann, my new favorite author-ess!! I can't wait to see what journey you will take us on next!
