When Ted Ennis steps out the doors of the Criterion Theatre for a cigarette and finds himself in Victorian London, he begins to doubt his sanity. At first he thinks it's all a film set, and is sure that the strikingly handsome young man leaning against a lamppost must be the leading man…
What starts as a sordid transaction with a beautiful rent boy quickly turns into something much deeper, drawing him back again and again as he gets to know Jem and craves meaningful encounters with him.
But Ted doesn't understand the exact conditions necessary for his trips through time—and for Jem, time may actually be running out. Now Ted has one last shot to get back to Jem and save their relationship, before it's too late…

I loved this sweet, romantic, steamy time travel story. The story was told from Ted's POV which worked extremely well and kept the story from getting saddled with too much sadness. Ted suffers through a severe loss in a car accident which also impacted him. The injuries from the accident have impaired some of his mental abilities, but he is trying hard to make the most of his life. While working at his job in a theater, he steps out for a smoke and slips into another time. He meets Jem and the fun begins.  Jem is certainly not living a happy life and has also suffered through some major losses.  However, he is a very spirited young man, and I wanted to hug him and make everything all better.  The relationship and dialogue between these two felt so real. I could feel them falling in love with each other and was excited to see how everything would work out. There's also a great epilogue to provide some beautiful closure.
