Review Darkest Risings by S.K. Yule

Title: Darkest Risings (Darkest #4)

When Wilhemina Jenkins returns to her hometown after being away for years, the last thing she expects is to find a tall, sexy stranger with stormy turquoise eyes who will fan the flames of her desire.
Aldin Aleksandrov has spent most of his long existence as a vampire protecting humankind from shadowdrifters. The violence and loneliness has all but made him lose hope of finding his life mate.
However, once he meets the beautiful Wilhemina, irresistible chemistry and circumstances toss them on a path riddled with danger, twists, turns, surprises, and ultimately a love that neither can deny.

Darkest is one of my favorite vampire series. S.K. holds true to her romance and world building as she tells the whole Aleksandrov’s family story. Darkest Risings carries lots of action and emotions. It can be hard to cope when you find out someone very dear to you was the one betraying you the whole time. As the betrayal hits home to the brothers the Shadowdrifters also take advantage and come in and kill someone very dear to them. Oh yeah, once the story takes off it will have you hanging on to see what is going to happen next. With so much occurring in the story expect several different POV’s and some new surprises.

Aldin and Wilhemina are both strong and compelling in many ways. I really enjoyed reading the development of their romance and their stories. I love how I get to keep up with what's happening with all the brothers and I like the introduction to the next hero and heroine.

There is a M/M interaction between two male characters, but they are not main characters that are focused on in this series, so if you’re like me not into the M/M you can easily skip it and it will not hinder any part of the main storyline.

You get a HEA for Aldin and Wilhemina, but you also get a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting the next book A.S.A.P.
