GRYPHON—Honorable, loyal, dependable…tainted. He was the ultimate warrior before imprisonment in the Underworld changed him in ways he can’t ignore.

She calls to him. Come to me. You can’t resist. But Gryphon will not allow himself to be ruled by the insidious whispers in his head. And there’s only one way to stop them: kill Atalanta, the goddess who enslaved him. But with so much darkness inside, he can’t be sure what’s real anymore. Even the Eternal Guardians, those who protect the human realm from threats of the Underworld, want to exile him. They’re not sure he can be trusted.

Finding Malea is like a miracle. Somehow he doesn’t feel the pull of the dark when she’s near. And he’s determined to keep her as near as possible, whether she wants him close or not. But proximity spurs temptation. A temptation that will test every last bit of control he has left. One that may ultimately have the power to send him back to the Underworld or free him from his chains for good.

The saga in the lives and loves of the Argonauts continue with Gryphon and Maelea. The story opens up at the Misos colony - where both of them are being held against their will. When Maelea finds a means of escape, Gryphon "tags" along, keeping Maelea, well sorta kidnapping her; when he realizes she quiets the voice inside his head.

Gryphon and Maelea have their own separate agendas, but along their journey, discover each is not what they seem. While they are on the run, the other Argonauts are in a tizzy looking for them. A mysterious red-head makes an appearance and gives Titus a shock. (We'll be seeing more of them in the next installment.) More questions are raised about Nick. (I want Nick's book - please soon.) And, oh no, I didn't see this twist and turn coming at the end!

I know Hades is the bad guy here, but he's the type you just love to hate! The continuing feud between the Gods, Goddesses and The Fates with the Argoleans thrown in the mix is escalating. I'm looking forward to more from Kronos and the new archdeamon whom we got a sneak peak of.

ENSLAVED is a hot, intoxicating story. Maelea and Gryphon scorch the pages...the stairs....the boat. This is one book I had a very hard time putting down.

  1. I've been thinking about adding this to my wishlist and now I know I will. Thanks for the review. I like her other books and thought this would be a good one. Glad you enjoyed it.

  2. This book sounds like it was pretty hot! I've been Elisabeth Naughton's books around the bloggosphere quite a bit. Maybe it's time that I give her a try. Thanks for the review!

  3. I wasn't sure how this one would go; especially after the rough time Gryphon had in the Underworld, but Ms. Naughton pulled it off brilliantly.
