About the Book

Harishtu is an "import" from another world to satisfy the Queen's taste for exotic sex slaves. Queen Sekhem, a being of unimaginable power and a ruthless tyrant, is worshiped as a living Goddess by the vampire aristocracy of a war torn land where humans are expendable commodities used for work, food, and sex. Despite this, Harishtu falls in love with the notoriously cruel Queen and a twisted romance springs up between captor and slave. Thrust into a hostile world of violence and depravity, Harishtu must struggle not only to survive but to maintain her humanity surrounded by the many horrors of her new home.

I'm going to start by saying that this book was a bit much for me, but it was a great story nonetheless. It was very well written, and so detailed and descriptive that when I closed my eyes, I literally saw what was written on the pages. The level of creativity is amazing; to create a whole different world and to pass that along to reader is an extraordinary talent. I say it was a bit much for me, because some of the encounters in this novel where just a little too hardcore and bloody for me, but in the end, I thought it was a great story. I would definitely recommend this book to someone who is into the hardcore and a bit darker genre.

About The Author

Brian Warren has had a life long love affair with the written word because of the seemingly magical ability to transport him to another world. His passions include science fiction, fantasy, and vampire genres. He firmly believes writing is a full contact sport and that if the author is not emotionally engaged with the story, how can he expect the reader to be? Mr. Warren's books have not yet won any awards, but he remains hopeful.

When not writing, he enjoys going on adventures that involve following mysterious winding forest paths that lead to exploring deep caves, tumbled down ruins, and haunted houses. On occasion jumping out of perfectly good airplanes or sliding down ziplines may also be involved. He very much enjoys good rhythms, especially of the Latin-American variety, and old school tabletop roleplaying games and the general geekery that goes along with it.

  1. Great review Emi. FemDom isn't really my thing, but I'll be sure to recommend it to some of my goodreads friends that gobble them up like candy :)
