After her brother and his wife go missing and are presumed dead, Lauren Peters plans to
raise their infant daughter. Her brother's will, however, stipulates that baby Callie can only be raised by a married couple. Lauren’s as single as they come.

Mack Hansen can’t stand idly by while his business partner’s baby is thrown into a foster home. As he sees it, there’s only one solution—he and Lauren will marry for the sake of the baby—and he’ll keep his attraction to her at bay.

Lauren knows that Mack is all about business, including their marriage of convenience. But her unexpected feelings for him have her turned upside down. With passion sizzling between them, can Mack keep Lauren from stealing his heart…and becoming his wife for real?
Another interesting take on a marriage of convenience.  Lauren and Mack have known each other for a few years, but never romantically.  When  they need to find a husband/wife to keep Lauren's niece, Callie, out of foster care, Mack has the brilliant idea of marrying each other.  They will divorce once custody is secured and they can both go about their lives.  But nothing is ever as cut and dry and it seems at first.

They both secretly hold a flame for each other, but neither wants to say it out loud to the other one.  Their refusal to talk about the subject of staying together and how they felt and assuming they knew what the other was thinking was a little tiresome at times, but it also led to some really great scenes near the end when it all came out in the open.

Mack was a great man.  Even though he seems to be all about business, he has such a softer side to him, and when Lauren discovers it she falls even harder.  There's a lot of drama that centers around Lauren's brother and sister-in-law as they have been lost at sea.  The book's ending is full of HEA's and you almost tear up a little bit a few times.
