The She-Wolf Pack is Smitten!! And we have goodies!

Today we're getting an intimate look at what makes the She-Wolf Pack purr.  What is it that makes their hearts go pitty-pat and skip a beat.  And - WOW -  Let me tell you, it was quite entertaining putting this post together.  The Ladies really surprised me.  Take a look and let's have some fun.  One commenter
will win a prize pack chock-full of goodies!

Laurie (BittenbyParanormalRomance):

What am I smitten with:

Well, I am going to be the odd ball here and disregard my sidekick’s orders for the title for the event because I can’t come up with anything in film or music that I am smitten with *whining*. So, as the owner I’m pulling out the big guns and hoping she won’t do a reverse roll on me and pull out the whip as I send this to her  ;)  *on knees praying now*  LOL. Since I don’t have anything in music and film I’m just going to tell you what I am smitten with and it’s definitely not, sexy movie stars or the latest melt my panties off singer of the month for me. The thing that gets my heart going is speed. Oh yeah, just hearing an engine rev and feeling the power under my feet does it for me. It always has since my first street race in my Mustang when I was a teen, which I did win. I have always blamed my need for speed on my dad because he’s was the one that bought me my first Camaro when I was sixteen. One thing I am happy for is mom and dad never found out what I was doing late at night :) *wicked grin* I’m sure they thought it was something totally different, NOT! LOL. I may not street race now days at my ripe old age of 42, but I still enjoy some speed; just as my daughter she tell you real quick how fast I drive.

You’ll find me drooling over fast American muscle cars. The Camaro became my favorite, so the new 2012 ZL1 is on my drool list at this time. Oh yeah, just look at that picture now that’s what I call all hard muscle and sexy! Shower time for me LOL.

What song stops me in my tracks:  Again, I don’t have a specific song that does anything like this. What I do have is two songs that I listen to over and over when I need to clear my head or to get inspiration.  One song is Let it Ride by Bachman-Turner Overdrive other is Radar Love by Golden Earring. As soon as I hit the road these two songs are played over and over on my iPod. For some reason as I listen to the lyrics and music to both songs as they play my head becomes clear and I get the inspiration that I need.

What on-screen couple has THE MAGIC:   I have always like Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan together. I feel they both captured the magic for me in every movie they played together in, but You Got Mail ended up being my favorite.

Who makes you melt when you hear THAT VOICE:   As for a famous man voice hands down its Patrick Stewart, I love his voice. I can pick his voice out anywhere, for instance when The Sims Medieval trailer came out I knew right off the bat whose voice it was on the trailer. But let me tell you ladies there are some awesome regular everyday men with outstanding melt your panties off voices out there that sound better than any actor or singer in my book.

I tend to be a very passionate person and when I find myself smitten with something, I will play it/watch it/read it until I just can't stand it anymore.

Here is my smitten list:
What song stops you in your tracks:  Whiskey Lullaby Brad Paisley and Alison Kraus will bring me to tears every time.   "Red Solo Cup" by Toby Keith will make me laugh every time.

What movie has the hottest whatever for you:  THE OUTSIDERS for total on screen eye candy. Could there be a movie with better looking men? LEGENDS OF THE FALL because who doesn't want to watch Brad Pitt. SENSE AND SENSIBILITY for a true love story.

What on-screen couple has "The Magic":  Simon Pegg and Nick Frost from SHAUN OF THE DEAD and Edina and Patsy from ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. Seriously though, Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan in CITY OF ANGELS, Bo and Hope from DAYS OF OUR LIVES and Elena and Damon from VAMPIRE DIARIES.

Who makes you melt when you hear "That Voice":  George Strait has the best voice ever! David Bowie's voice from the movie LABYRINTH will make me swoon every time and any man with a British accent.

For me, one of the best romantic movies goes hand in hand with one of the most romantic songs: The Princess Bride. I am pretty sure many would agree that THE PRINCESS BRIDE movie is the epitome of romance, but I've since come to the conclusion that the end song of the movie is one of the most romantic as well. To me, "Storybook Love" is the perfect love song and if I guy ever played that song for me, I would think he's a keeper: Storybook Love.

I have found myself watching movies I never thought that I would watch before simply because I am watching the movie for some hot man flesh that I have found myself falling in love with. Three actors that I follow have led me to movies I don't think I would have before: Henry Cavill and Luke Evans are two of them. Who wouldn't love the new Superman (Cavill) or the man that can pull off both Aramis of the Three Musketeers *and* leader of the Gods, Zeus (Evans)? Here's the catch with the third. He's only ever been in one slightly obscure English speaking movie. Gabriel Garko is an Italian model-turned-actor, and now because of him I own an international DVD player just so I can watch his TV shows, TV movies and other work. Can't understand most of what is being said, but I can still enjoy! If he ever wanted to storm Hollywood, this man would melt more than a few hearts and I think he would have what it takes to be an international star right along with Henry and Luke. Check him out in a clip from a period drama he did called "Il sangue e la rosa": Gabriel Garko.

As Valentine's Day approaches not only do I love to spend the day with my loving husband I wanted to share with you all what gets my heart beating erratically, my palms sweating, my knees feeling like jello and my mind fantasizing of a hot and sexy evening. So what film and music has me smitten and feeling all hot bothered? Well I find it hard to narrow it to just one of each because there a few movies and songs from both my youth that really got my motor running and when I look back still puts a devilish smile on my face to recent ones that have me fantasizing some naughty thoughts.

So here is my list of what films and songs from both my past and present that I am smitten with:

What song stops me in my tracks? - It is a tie between "Please Don't Go" by KC and the Sunshine Band and "Into the Night" by Benny Mardones. Both these two songs are so powerful in their sensuality it still gets me today when I here them

What movie has the hottest whatever for me? - You may laugh but LITTLE DARLINGS was probably the first movie that got me excited about an actor because of Kristy McNichol's crush on Armand Assante in the film. Mmmm Armand, God he was so sexy and the perfect image of underlying passion.

What on-screen couple has THE MAGIC? - It probably had to be at that time Elvis Presley and Ann-Margaret in VIVA LAS VEGAS. Rumor swirled that these two had something going on off-screen and when you watch the movie and watch how they looked into each other's eyes you would swear there was real passion there.

Who makes you melt when you hear THAT VOICE? - Oh this one is easy, BILLY IDOL hands down! Whether singing or talking Billy Idol is one sexy beast and as in the past he is still so damn sexy. When I think of Bones in Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series this is the voice I hear. :)

What song stops you in your tracks? - Again I can't keep it to one song so the two that stop me in me in my tracks is "DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again" by Usher and "We Found Love" by Rhianna. Just something about the melody or the words that makes me think two people engaging in unbridled hot, raw passion.

What movie has the hottest whatever for you? - I have to say the most recent film that I saw that had some really hot passion and seemed at times to be real was MR. AND MRS. SMITH with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. The teasing, the playfulness and the hot sexy time.:)

What on-screen couple has THE MAGIC? - Bill and Sookie on TRUE BLOOD, Season 1 (Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin). When those two got down and dirty I was screaming and jumping up and down with delight and needing a cold shower afterwards at the deep intensity of their emotional and physical bond.

Who makes you melt when you hear THAT VOICE? - Nowadays I have to say the deep, sexy, smooth sound of Jason Momoa, Have you heard this guy's voice? It can go so deep to cause any man to back down from him and at the same time sound like a sexy purr of panther stalking his prey. I would love to be his prey. YUMMY! :)

So there you have it my list of things that smitten me and puts a big smile on my face and gets my mind racing with delicious thoughts. Happy Valentine's everyone!

What song stops you in your tracks:  Most recently it's been Somebody I Used to Know by Gotye. While I'm reading I leave the tv on a music channel (I'm weird, gotta have some background noise even if I'm not really listening to it) and every time that song comes on I can't help but look up from my Nook and enjoy it :) It's a haunting, post-breakup song.

Fave romance:  Okay, so it may seem goofy but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the 2005 version of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE Keira Knightley. It's one of my favorite books, so why shouldn't it be one of my favorite movies? :) I can't tell you how many times I've watched it. I still get a twinge in my heart during the scene when Darcy proposes the first time and essentially tells Elizabeth that even though her families status is far beneath him that he's willing to concede and marry her because he can't get her out of his head. I'm a sucker for clueless guys. LOL.

What on-screen couple has THE MAGIC:  I love romance and I love sci/fi, what movie brings those two things together with a super awesome couple? THE ISLAND! I think Scarlett Johansson is absolutely beautiful and Ewan McGregor is YUMMMMMY!

Who makes you melt when you hear THAT VOICE:  Jason Statham. Ahh, how many books have I read that I imagined his voice and body as the hero's? Let's just say more than a few ;) LOL

When it comes to music that just makes me sigh with longing I could tell you several but I'll stick to three.

The first is not a song but a movie soundtrack. Yes the entire movie soundtrack to {drum roll, please} Twilight. I know, I know, The movie wasn't all that great and we can go round and round about the book but this is about music that makes me feel something special. And the entire soundtrack and score (yes, they are actually a little different) just spoke to me which is weird because I don't typically listen to the kind of music featured in the soundtrack or score. You can listen to snippets from each song on the soundtrack here and you can listen snippets of the score here. The only thing missing from both that I loved from the movie was Debussy's Clare de lune. Now for someone who usually listens to R&B, Classic Soul, Country and some Hip Hop, for this soundtrack and score to make me weak in the knees is just puzzling.

Because sometimes Valentine's Day is about losing or lost love so the second is "How Do I Live" by LeAnn Rimes.

And sometimes Valentine's Day is about getting back on your feet, so the third is "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack.

Okay, I lied there is an honorable mention for music - anything by Babyface.

Now for movies. I absolutely fell in love with Nicholas Cage in a movie from 1987 I think is one of the most romantic movies ever -- MOONSTRUCK.  It also starred Cher.

No list is complete without AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr from 1957.

And again because Valentine's Day is not necessarily a good time for all, another movie I love is 1986's HEARTBURN starring Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep.

Honorable mention goes to the movie it seems like you either loved or hated, there was no middle ground. 1996's THE ENGLISH PATIENT with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche.

And how about paranormal romances disguised as an urban fantasy movies?

(2003) starring Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman have the vampire and werewolf/vamp hybrid getting their grove on.

(2009) starring Rhona Mitra and Michael Sheen more werewolf and vampire loving in this heartbreaking tale without the HEA.
